Hey hey, monkey-mad backers!
I have two announcements for you today…
1) The Montana Book Festival! 📚
At the end of last week, I submitted Monkey Maids to the Montana Book Festival!
If all goes well, I may be reading from the book and paneling with other authors this September at the largest gathering of authors and publishers in the state of Montana!
I'll keep you posted about that exciting monkey business.
2) Surveys Are Due TOMORROW! ⌛
That's right! If you want to see your name on our thank-you page on the website and in Monkey Maids, then tomorrow—July 6, 2023—is your deadline for filling out your backer survey!
There are still seventeen backers who haven'tcompleted surveys, and it would REALLY bum me out if their names didn't make it into the thank-you page.

Hello, Monkey Maids friends & fam!
Huzzah! The funds from the Monkey Maids campaign have landed in our account, so we're sending out 5% of backer surveys today!
Here's what'sh appening…
Today & Tomorrow: 💨The Smoke Test 💨
We're using BackerKit, a third-party fulfillment platform, to send backer surveys that will collect all the information we need to get your rewards to you!
BackerKit's system requires that before we send all surveys, we perform a smoke test, which sends 5% of surveys 48 hours ahead of the rest.
This way, we can identify and fix any pesky bugs in our survey system.
So, a few of you will receive your surveys in the next two days.
Thursday 6/22: All Surveys 📅
After the smoke test ends on Thursday, June 22, we'll send out surveys to all our backers!
You'll have two weeks to complete surveys before we finalize our thank-you page on the website and in the Monkey Maids book.

Monkeys, monkeys, monkeys!

Hi there, Monkey Maids fam!
It's been over a week since our project wrapped up, and we're just writing to say hi!
We've been working away at preparing Monkey Maids and other rewards for publication. The monkey trading cards are coming along nicely, along with the final-final edit of the text. That will be followed by formatting the book, then preparing it for printing!
Right now, we're waiting for Kickstarter to process funding and deposit it into our account. When that happens, we'll send out your surveys to you via BackerKit!
In the meantime, we are preparing for a huge event…Jayel and I are going to be handfasted in a druidic Celtic ceremony in the Mission Mountains of Montana on June 23! Preparations for the big day are well under way, and it's possible that our fulfillment for Monkey Maids might lag a bit as we try to fit it all in!

Strange Stories is a collection of short comics written by Caleb Thusat, author of the WWII Ghost Story, NOOK (Source Point Press), the children's series, Supercats (Scout Comics), and a number of other fantastical self-published comics including the likes of The Neverland, Flytrap, Alter-Life, and ZED.
